Position Overview
-Will monitor and run batch cycles on Both IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler and Mainframe.
- Perform action on Service Now Tickets or Emails that come in for the Command Center.
- Communicate with application programmers to fix and restart jobs.
- Monitor Network and Intel Servers and report on outages.
- Fill out daily reports for Command Center and Application Groups.
- Must be able to work weekends and cover for vacations and sick time.
What you'll do at Insight
-Execute task processes as documented for diagnosis and remediation of client issues.
-Utilize ticket tracking systems to resolve tickets coming from internal and external requests.
-Monitor all production networks, servers, and applications
-Ensure proper issue escalation and effective incident resolution.
-Gather metrics via monitoring, identify trends, and ensure that network servers are running well.
-Communicate with various IT teams for issue resolutions.
-Fully document daily status report and communicate shift-turnover reports.
What you'll need to join Insight
Two-year Associate Degree (field related) or equivalent experience required.
Must have a minimum of 1-2 years NOC monitoring, events management or technical support experience.
Requires working knowledge of hardware/software concepts, including supported Microsoft products and network/account management tools.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business/ professional journals, technical procedures, or regulations required. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, other employees a must.
