The NOC Associate has an in-depth understanding of basic electrical, electronics, CATV/BB and IP Network, Systems and Diagram. He/She will coordinate clearly with corporate counterparts and conduct initial teletrouble shooting to isolate issues. He/She will escalate network faults and alarms to concerned groups as immediate as possible to avert development into a major service interfering problem and prepare operational reports and justify personal performance.
Monitor, manage & maintain the SKY NOC monitoring system and available tools/equipment (Audio/Video, OSP, Core Network)
Responds to monitoring alerts, perform initial summary and escalates issues/outage to concerned group.
Plant trouble ticket handling and escalation (identifying/detection, handling escalation through to resolution.
Work on fault tickets effectively and efficiently through interaction with engineers in resolving service issues in accordance to the established process and procedures.
Determines root cause identification through available analytical tools and processes in order to resolve network and drop issues affecting service quality and availability.
Proactive monitoring and identification of network issues resulting to subscriber faults creation which originates from RF Network, IP Core, In-house network or fault creation system error.
Analyze network performance data through trend analysis/reports clarifies uncertainties in the instruction or workload assignments from the duty supervisor before performing task.
Updates duty supervisor completion of all analytics task.
Immediately escalates to duty supervisor any perceived deviation/abnormal situation, hazards, accidents and other issues.
Proper hand-over of information from one shift to the next in order to ensure seamless work/issue resolutions.
Provide continual and accurate status update to all concerned via SMS and Email based on existing escalation process.
Responsible in documenting network element performance, revisions, current status and the changes made by groups responsible in maintaining its optimum performance.
Daily accurate updating and logging of all network events, outages and activities which will be basis of PTR and NAR.
Develop report automation and tools necessary to improve efficiency.
Maintain the in-house developed tools and ensure optimal performance of all the NOC systems and equipment.
Submit required reports in compliance with existing COED and company requirements.
Engage in ongoing education program provided by the company to keep your level at the cutting edge of the industry.
Qualifications:
Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Electronics, Engineering or related discipline
Cisco Certification or any equivalent certificate
At least two (2) years' related software development working experience, preferred in HFC and Telco operation
Knowledge in OOP and MVC Architecture
Strong working knowledge in PHP (OOP, Laravel, CI)
Advance knowledge in Javascript, Javascript frameworks (AngularJS)
Knowledge in APACHE, Linux and Microsoft Windows servers
Web services using RESTful, API
Knowledgeable in HTML5/CSS
With good analytical skills and can work under pressure.
Computer literate and familiar with office applications (i.e: ICMS/Customer Management System)
Team player and highly motivated.
Results-oriented and attentive to details
Can work in a fast-paced environment and can handle stress effectively.
Must be willing to work in varied shifts and remains on-call on emergencies.
