Cisco Customer Experience (CX) team seeks a Senior NFV Architect to join some of the industry's best thinkers in developing and deploying today's most Advanced Service Provider Orchestration, Automation and Virtualization solutions that enables our customers towards 5G ready infrastructure
The Team
As part of the CX Professional Services team you will be able to work with some of the largest service provider customers to design and deliver software and automation projects such as orchestration of SDN networks and NFV with workflows automation.
The Senior NFV Architect is expected to have deep understanding of ETSI NFVI and MANO with project delivery experience.
The candidate must be able to demonstrate technical leadership to solve complex tasks, ranging from design and implementation to troubleshooting Cisco's NFV Solution. The ideal candidate can lead a project team of Designers, developers and testers and interlock with other stakeholders to drive the business outcome for our customers
Role & Responsibilities
Architect NFV solutions that meets the customer technical and business requirements
Demonstrate technical leadership and become a trusted advisor to the customer
Lead several project design work streams and ensure cohesiveness across the High Level Design and test coverage
Work with 3rd party vendors to capture the VNF/VNF-M requirements
Drive deployment automation tools for efficient delivery of NFVI PODs
Work with the different stakeholders to facilitate the integration between the NFV solution in the customer environment
Minimum Qualifications
A minimum of 10+ years of experience in IT/Telco environments
Extensive Openstack knowledge with deployment experience
Experience with 3rd party VNF onboarding
Current knowledge pertaining to relevant industry and standards bodies (ETSI, Openstack, etc)
Good understanding of compute platform performance enhancement (EPA, NUMA, SRIOV, etc) and it applicability to different VNF types
Good understanding of Telco Cloud Architecture including edge deployment scenarios
Good understanding of MANO, including the integration points across the architecture (ETSI SOL00x reference points) between NFVO, VNF-M and VIM
Experience and good understanding of IP network and Data Center and virtualization technologies
Expertise in JAVA, Python, Yang, bash scripting
Expertise in working with APIs and protocols- REST, RESTCONF, NETCONF JSON RPC.
Extensive experience in working with Linux platform
Experience in working with SDN network automation/orchestration and NFV.
Hand-on experience in working with industry standard CI/CD tools - Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, Jira
Prior experience with Cisco NSO, ESC or similar product is plus
Other skills - XML/xpath, Docker, Ansible, Openstack/Kubernetes, code review
Experience in leading technical project teams
Ability to solve complex problems creatively
Demonstrate a high degree of originality and innovation
Excellent verbal and writing skills
Must be a team player and work well in small and large group environments
