JOB DESCRIPTION:
Under the supervision of the Master Planning Head, the Planning Engineer will be responsible for the provision of project roll-out designs and plans based on international telecommunication standards, checking and recommending all the network design layout plans for new and additional FO cable facilities including the last mile cable up to subscriber premises. Responsibilities includes handling and maintaining of all network database including NAP ports, Core Assignment and Pole Tracking. Network Optimization included responsibilities on port expansion, traffic utilization, cable fixing, rerouting and transport upgrade.
Constantly check and update of Google Map for the FO Backbone, Feeder, Access and Last mile cable up to subscriber premises. Collate and update also in Google Map all the As-Built Plan from Access Planning and Engineering.
Provision of project roll-out design and plan based on international telecommunication standard.
Provision of RFQ for budget management/planning (OPEX and CAPEX).
Check and recommend all the Access Planning and Engineering (APE) network design layout plans for new and additional FO cable facilities including the last mile cable up to subscriber premises.
Documentation of network diagram and topology. Collation of all network topology including old and new network elements.
Control and monitoring of port resource and capacity that will be provided to stakeholders like APE, NEOM, NOC, and Sales.
Alignment of engineering project rollout with existing network capacity. And providing capacity plan for both network and client side.
Forecasting of node, OLT, ODN, feeder capacity for engineering project expansion and end user capacity. (design computation). * Collect and archive all changes (i.e. addition/deduction in the network diagram/topology).
Coordinate and supervise the Access Planning & Engineering (APE) and Technical Support group for any changes in the network configuration and migration activities for the enhancement of the network.
Oversee the POC testing, demo of equipment, and standardization of the FO cables, materials and ancillaries.
Check and monitor the Special project design plans and implementation including the poles/cables relocation and rehab.
Revise and alter the Network design based on the demand forecast and future requirements.
Ensure that the project cost of the network layout plan is accurate and within the budget.
JOB QUALIFICATION:
Completed a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or any other related courses.
Relevant and strong exposure to Telecommunication Industry with minimum or at least 1 year of extensive experience on major projects.
Proven leadership skills in surpervising projects and teams
Proficient with writing reports, business correspondences, and procedure manuals.
Excellent time management skills and ability to meet set-deadlines.
Excellent presentation, verbal and written English communication skills.
Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail.
Must have an excellent planning skill and vast experience in network rollout planning
Must have experience handling client from top Telecom Operator in the Philippines
Must know the relationship of the triple constraint with regards to quality
Must have knowledge on MS Project, Excel, PPT, WBS, etc.
Must have basic knowledge in Root Cause Analysis, Fishbone or Ishikawa, SWOT or equivalent
