Job Description Field Maintenance Engineer.
24x7 On call to attend escalated alarms in the network for troubleshooting and restoration within agreed SLA.
Conduct Reactive, Corrective and Preventive maintenance of telecom equipment of Wireless/Wireline/Transmission equipment(s)
To instruct, supervise and monitor work and progress of suppliers or third Party the services they provide for a seamless quality of telecom service to the business.
Conduct Site Audit for sites endorsed for Handover of telecom and allied equipment
To act, correct and close a service restoration as quickly as possible and minimize the adverse impact to the business operation.
To act and close field work orders requested by other groups.
To act and work on assigned task by IS
Ensures and update inventory and availability of spares
Updating of site information such as; BOP, Network Topology, 2Mb plan, Site Address, project SHIFT, etc.)
Site owner of Wireless/Wireline site(s), ensure that site is within the agreed "installation standards of GT"
Request spare and ensure timely return of Spares to spare management team
Make BIA (Business Impact Analysis) yearly and ensure this is up to date
