ABS-CBN Corporation is the Philippines' leading information and entertainment multimedia conglomerate. The Company is primarily involved in television and radio broadcasting, as well as in the production of television and radio programming for domestic and international audiences and other related businesses. ABS-CBN produces a wide variety of engaging, world-class entertainment programs that are aired on free-to-air television.
The Company is also one of the leading radio broadcasters, operating eighteen radio stations throughout the key cities of the Philippines. ABS-CBN provides news and entertainment programming for nine channels on cable TV and operates the country's largest cable TV service provider. RESPONSIBILITIES
We need an experienced senior network engineer to manage and maintain ABS-CBN's enterprise network. As a senior network engineer, you will be responsible for managing the enterprise network as well as mentoring junior network engineering staff and handling advanced support issues. Ultimately, you will be a level 2-3 support and responsible for the resolution of network issues.
Responsibilities:
Collaborating with network managers to design and implement functional company networks.
Installing and configuring networking hardware.
Creating and implementing network security measures.
Managing and mentoring junior Network Engineering staff.
Conducting regular network performance tests.
Lead networking maintenance tasks and assist the junior staff.
Dealing with escalated network support issues.
Drawing up network status reports.
Reporting to the Head of Network Management Group
Willing to participate in 24x7 shifting schedule
Willing to work on-site if necessary
Willing to work extended hours if necessary
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related field.
Previous work experience as a networking engineer.
Advanced knowledge of networking hardware including Cisco, Arista, Cloud Vision Portal, Ruckus, Call Manager, Fortinet, Forescout and others
Advance knowledge in communication and routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, MPLS, SDWAN, VXLAN, WAN, LAN, VPN, DHCP and DNS
Familiarity with network analysis tools including SolarWinds.
Proficiency with coding languages including Python and Perl.
Excellent leadership and mentoring skills.
High level problem-solving and communication skills.
Knowledgeable with fiber optic cabling infrastructure
Knowledgeable with Cisco Call Manager telephony system
Monitor and manage incident tickets assigned to network group.
Cisco CCNP certification is required.
Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, and the likes.
