Description
First level support is provided to IXS' customers on inquiries and incidents reported by the client as well as through proactive communication to the clients based on observations in the network management systems.
Incident and Support tickets are handled from start to finish by the Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer - Level 1 whenever possible, and escalated when necessary.
Good and effective communication with customers, business partners and internal team is a key skill of the candidate.
Qualifications:
1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in English and Filipino.
2. College degree holder (Preferably IT related course)
3. Basic understanding of networking technologies (TCP/IP, Routing, Switching)
4. Ability to assess and prioritize faults and respond or escalate accordingly.
5. Team player
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Providing Level 1 support to clients
2. Network monitoring; responding to alarms in a timely and effective manner
3. Communication with clients, domestic and international carries and telcos
4. Communication with other departments
5. General incident and ticket management
6. Escalate incidents when needed in timely fashion and with accurate fault description
