Overview:
The Network Architect supports commercial and internal sales opportunities. Their role in the sales cycle is to provide leadership and design assistance to the Sales Engineers, Partner Channel, Strategic Account Management, and other Sales Engagement Teams. Solutions Architects also aid in the creation of custom or non-standard solutions that meet the client's requirements while maintaining the ability to be supported effectively by the standard operations group, in addition to defining standards to be used across the organization.
Responsibilities:
Architect solutions for business requirements involving advanced networks (performance & management), VoIP and converged technologies
IT system/architecture requirements (including development of fault and performance management policies and automation rules)
Understands client's needs and be able to provide solutions with their existing products or recommend new ideas
Create a project design and quotes from suppliers and vendors
Create and support delivery documentation
Interface and interact with customers on a semi-regular basis
Participate and potentially lead innovation designs and implementation of tools
Understand pricing and market value of the hardware
Conduct in-house hardware inventory for the company. Providing recommendation/advice for existing technology (IT Specialist)

Requirements/Qualifications:
At least 5 years in experience in a solution-oriented technical design and engineering role, with an emphasis on advanced networks, and convergence solutions. Data and IP Services (MPLS, VoIP, VPN, IP PBX
Candidate must have 70% Technical skills and knowledge and 30% Sales (technical person with sales mindset)
Technical skills must range from L1 support, computer design, networking and system administration
Managed Network Services (LAN, WAN, WLAN, Managed IP PBX)
Ability to create and review technical documentation (RFIs, RFPs, SOWs, SLAs, BOM)
Strong knowledge of overall network technology experience with fundamental understanding of WAN, LAN, Wireless, IPT and Optimization services
Excellent communication skills as the role will work closely with the internal engineering team, vendors, and clients
Excellent customer facing skills (oral and written), a passion for customer satisfaction, and adherence to support service level agreements
Performs well under pressure to meet deadlines
Accepts responsibility, is self-motivated and accountable for achieving implementation and Customer satisfaction targets
Results-oriented, excellent ability to utilize and manage the organization's resources to achieve goals\
Strong interpersonal abilities to facilitate extensive interactions across the organization and with multiple customers

Bachelor's Degree in information technology, Computer Science or other relevant fields
