Management Information Systems and Technology Specialist - USAID
The Role
Information management and technology is a critical function in the he Civil Society Organization (CSO) Strengthening Project, Evolving a Self-Reliant Culture in Strategic Organizations and Capacitating Them to Mobilize Local Resources, which aims to strengthen the capacity of CSOs and CSO networks that can serve as Learning Resource Organizations (LROs). The project's Management Information and Technology Specialist is critical in helping the Project deliver targeted outcomes.
The Management Information Systems and Technology Specialist role will be primarily the development, establishment and management of an appropriate MIS system for the project that will support its digital strategy requirements particularly for monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL) purposes. S/he will also provide technical inputs in the development of a learning management system that will be used as a key component of the knowledge management system. S/he will also provide technical assistance and support for MIS and IT related concerns of the PMO and its key partners.
QUALIFICATIONS
University degree in computer science or other IT-related field
Minimum of three (3) years proven experience in data management systems, i.e. systems design and development, systems analysis, database design, implementation of monitoring and evaluation systems, etc.
Proficiency in relational database management system
Ability to work on own initiative to build on and develop the job, combined with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Good communications and interpersonal skills; able to write simple reports and make presentations
Highly organized, with excellent attention to detail and developed ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet tight deadlines and organize work
Demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite applications and statistical packages such as SPSS, Epi Info, etc.
Willing to travel to any part of the country as needed for the Project and maybe requested by Save the Children Philippines for its humanitarian response
Sensitive to issues affecting children and committed to the values, mission and principles of Save the Children.
Contract length: Fixed Term position until September 2023 based in National Capital Region
