Overview of the Role
Given the expanding products and services in pipeline, the Decision Science and Management (DSM) Team is also expanding in terms of the different reporting tools to efficiently serve the Bank's internal customers and support them in data-driven decision-making requirements. Someone who has expertise with Data visualization (e.g. Qlik Sense, Qlik View, Power BI, or Tableau), is needed to satisfy business needs and committed delivery dates. A Data Viz officer would help the DSM Team manage automating existing and recurring excel reports to lessen the workload of other resources, facilitate change requests and enhancements, and develop new dashboards such as but not limited to
Regulatory and profit sharing reports tied with MIS
Reports that need "drill downs" and "deep dives" so that BUs can freely analyze data
Reports for new products and newly onboarded partners
Campaigns performance and sales trends
Key Responsibilities
Management and Networking
Supports all the departments of the bank, especially in providing answers to business questions and automating MIS extracts and dashboards
Reports to the MIS and Campaigns Team Lead and supports the rest of the DSM Team members in meeting the departmental KPIs and objectives
Functional
Assesses business needs and objectives to be able to design a methodology and share a project proposal that fulfills the business requirement
Translates business questions into the appropriate visuals to facilitate data storytelling
Designs, creates, and publishes dashboards as self-service solutions for end users
Creates reports and transforms data findings into a format that the business understands
Performs data analysis, shares insights, and provides recommendation on tactical business decisions, such as but not limited to campaigns and marketing initiatives
Technical
Utilizes a variety of applications, such as but not limited to Qlik Sense/Power BI/Tableau, SQL
Writes scripts to query data, join tables, aggregate and transform data
Creates data models in QlikSense and utilizes NPrinting to automate reports
Applies mathematical and statistical concepts to analyze data and provide insights
Documents scripts and formulas used for key metrics to create business transparency
Relevant Work Experience
Min. 3 years of relevant experience in campaigns, data science, analytics, business intelligence, data engineering, and data analysis
Min. 1year of relevant experience in consulting, banking, credit, collections
Technical Skills
Minimum requirement:
Database/Querying languages: SQL, Hive, or SAS
Programming languages: Python, R, or Bash
A plus:
Data visualization: Tableau, Qlik, or Power BI
Feature selection, transformation, and engineering
Functional Skills
Consulting background with knowledge of various processes and industries
Impact assessment to business metrics
Identification of business questions and opportunities
Data storytelling and insight generation
Personal skills/Soft competencies
Stakeholder management able to handle multiple engagements simultaneously
Good communication skills able to translate technical concepts into business terms in writing and in presentation format
Structured and organized in thought process, able to translate big projects into a clear methodology
Associate / Supervisor IT and Software Banking/Financial Institutions 1 opening Bachelor's degree graduate
