About the Role
As a Mid-level Front-End Developer, you will be responsible for executing complex design into Shopify themes, on time and budget, considering both client expectations and functionality. The Mid-level Developer should assist in quoting work, managing project budgets within the development team and assisting PM's break down projects into tasks. They should also take a mentoring and skills development role with other team members.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
The value of work product ($ value of projects and retainers) delivered meets or exceeds the minimum ROI target.
Accurately track time, and the daily billable hours (averaged over a week) meets the requirement.
Consistently demonstrated ability to write:
Well-formed and semantically - appropriate HTML
Well-architected succinct CSS
Well-architected modular JavaScript
Thoroughly review all work before client submission.
Ability to peer review code, review for pool approval and provide feedback to the author.
Your communication is professional, appropriate, clear and is at a high level - both written and spoken.
You can learn, to high proficiency, the tools and processes we use. You can read and follow documentation and learning resources and follow the company processes with a high level of attention to detail and execution.
You can deliver tasks in the time allocated. Your time spent on tasks does exceed the time allocated - if you believe the time allocated is not enough you need to raise this with your PM before you reach 50% of the time allocated.
Ability to work with designs to create realistic and functional solutions to client requests beyond the normal features.
Development review of design happens for each project, the development senior developer agrees that the given design can be built in the allocated budget.
Projects are delivered on budget - for the development work.
Projects are delivered on time - the development work meets the deadline.
Contributing to the weekly update emails.
You contribute to and are actively engaged in group meetings and activities, including but not limited to WIP's, project meetings, business development meetings, capacity meetings, team social events.
Demonstrate our company values in the day-to-day workflow and encourage others to do the same.
Assist the COO/CFO & CEO with ad hoc projects, administration tasks and other duties as requested.
Ensure you're familiar with and understand our policies as always documented in the Employee Handbook and comply with them.
About You

Position Prerequisites
Minimum 6 years of experience designing and developing front-end code, minimum 2 years Shopify development experience, preferably on Plus.
A deep understanding of Shopify and Shopify plus and the ability to create high-quality themes.
A solid understanding of UI design, cross-browser compatibility, responsive design, and QA standards.
Adept at using project tracking tools and software.
Proven experience with successful website migrations and website integrations with business systems.
An understanding of graphic design principles.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
An ability to learn new programming skills quickly and thoroughly.
A level of understanding of popular eCommerce tools - for example, Google Analytics, A/B testing tools, email marketing tools (Emarsys, Klayvio etc) is highly desirable.
