THE ROLE
Our client's accounting and finance team is looking for a Mid-Level Accountant to assist with Accounts Payable Lead that is open to training, new processes, and supporting vendor spending.
SCHEDULE: 8 AM - 5 PM Central Daylight Time (9 PM - 6 AM Philippine Local Time), follows Philippine holidays
POSITION TYPE: Full Time
WORK ARRANGEMENT: Remote
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Serve as the company lead in the overall Accounts Payable functions
Ensure bills, expense reports, and credit cards are properly entered in Airbase for payment for the US entities
Ensure bills, expense reports, and credit cards are properly entered in NetSuite for payment for Ireland entity
Set up ACHs or wires when Airbase is unable to pay certain vendors
Perform audits on expense reports
Manage the annual 1099 filing with the US Government
Work with various department VPs and directors to ensure proper approvals prior to payment
Communicate professionally with vendors and their queries
Ensure compliance with company policy on vendor master data
Support accounting staff in reconciling accounts payable to the general ledger as needed
Perform various ad hoc research requests as needed
Utilize NetSuite, Airbase, and QuickBooks for historical information and the Silicon Valley Web Portal
QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
2-4 years of experience in accounts payable
Experience in a multi-client environment
Strong computer aptitude, which includes expertise with Microsoft 365 applications
Strong organization, oral and written communication skills
Analytical skills with particular attention to detail
Aptitude in data management, analytics, reporting preparation
Ability to speak up and is open to change
Ability to function in an autonomous environment-independent worker, self-directed
