The Merchandising Assistant is responsible for the detailed execution of any merchandising related tasks in order to support the efforts of the Merchandising team. Responsible to perform each task dutifully so as to help keep the merchandising process fluid, efficient, and effective.
Stock Data Filing and Product Handling
Facilitates sample viewing through monitoring container arrivals to warehouse, requesting product samples, displays and arranges product samples, and monitors product shoot,
Prepares complete and correct stock cards, having complete information such as vendor, stock number , cost, and arrival date
Inventory Management
Prepares the purchase orders of approved items for filing in the system
Closely monitors stock level on assigned channel and stock movement such as repeat orders, consolidation and replenishment, mark downs, movement of stocks, based on assigned area/channel
Prepares the transfer orders for any approved stock movement
Buying
Ensures the timely and correct creation of Purchase Orders
Remains observant and adaptable to the changing needs of the consumer through close monitoring with marketing on consumer behavior
Prepares the buying process template for proposal to management
Must be a College graduate preferably in business courses
Must be proficient in MS Excel
Must have an analytical mindset, ability to work well with numbers and spreadsheets
Must be very keen on details and must be able to multi task
