General Duties and Responsibilities
Review mechanical plans & specifications and coordinate discrepancies to supervisor. Validate space and electrical provisions of equipment.
Ensures timely submission of material, equipment and shop drawing approval.
Monitor the progress of works of Mechanical Contractors & Suppliers and relates them to the general construction schedule and resolve issues that may cause potential delay.
Ensures installation of approved materials, equipment, coordinated MEP layout and optimize sequence of works.
Regular work inspection to validate progress, productivity and safety.
Issues correspondences to Mechanical contractors & suppliers to address potential delays.
Evaluates cost proposals and billing of mechanical sub-contractors and suppliers.
Recommends value engineering or cost-saving measures to the MEP or Project Manager.
Attend and, at certain times, conducts construction coordination meetings and technical
meetings. Take note and act on assigned task.
Update equipment schedule; plan versus actual.
Supervise start-up of equipment and coordinate testing & commissioning (T&C).
Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time.
Educational Attainment:
Mechanical Engineering Graduate
Preferably licensed engineer
Work Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years of work experience as Mechanical Engineer
Engineer in building construction or related field.
