Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop detailed plans for structural and mechanical components of solar power systems.
Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support with respect to testing, machine performance, installation and product operation in field testing.
Improve processes for solar installation projects
Prepare design and determine specifications and requirements for PV systems
Provide costs estimates for solar installation plans. (PERT CPM, Gantt Chart, Manpower Equipment Schedule)
Prepare checklists for inspections and testing of solar installation projects
Provide direction and support to PV installers for installation, start-up, testing, commissioning and monitoring
Develop operation procedures and policies for solar installation projects particularly streetlight, solar system and solar pumping,
Evaluate solar projects and perform analysis on energy efficiency
Coordinate with project managers/engineers to ensure proper delivery of solar projects and prepare reports as required.
Ensure compliance of mechanical engineering practices with applicable codes and standards
Work closely with the project engineer to ensure timelines are followed and project goals are achieved.
Preparing status reports by gathering, analyzing and summarizing relevant information.
Preparing detailed plans for the projects.
Other electrical engineering tasks not mentioned above which are deemed necessary for the completion of projects and activities.

Knowledge of Philippine Mechanical Engineering Code, PSME codes and other applicable codes related to mechanical engineering and solar structural applications.
