Job Description
The purpose of this position is to provide technical knowledge on projects to perform HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection Design Engineering works assignment.
Key roles and responsibilities of an HVAC Engineer
Engineering Design of HVAC system as per project requirements
Cooling and Heating Load calculations in accordance to standards and knows how to use HVAC calculation software program (Carrier HAP, ELITE, etc...)
Technical knowledge in Industrial Ventilation System and calculation
Knowledge in HVAC equipment selection as part of the HVAC design practice
Preparation of HVAC Duct routing design and sizing
Establish sizing and selection of HVAC air terminals, e.g. grilles, diffuser, registers and louvers
Technical writing of HVAC Design Criteria and Specifications
Ability to develop HVAC Air Flow and Control Diagram
Preparation of HVAC Control Sequence of Operation
HVAC Chilled Water system design, sizing of equipment and piping design
Development of Chilled Water P&ID and controls
Preparation of chilled water system control philosophy
Familiar with ASHRAE, Codes and Industry standards
Preparation of HVAC Request for Quotation
HVAC Technical Bid Evaluation and Vendor Review
With field construction experience in MEP jobs
Plumbing Design Engineering
Sanitary Plumbing pipe sizing and Water Supply line sizing and Water Heater selection
Domestic Water Pump sizing, selection and control system
Fire Water Sprinkler Design Engineering
Hydraulic Calculation; Chilled water, Fire water, and Plumbing system
Ability to communicate effectively with management, co-workers, clients, vendors, contractors and visitors
Can work under pressure and flexible to work in any MEP engineering and design development

Basic Job Requirements
4-15 years of related work experience
Some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Preferred Qualifications
Engineer-in-Training achievement status accomplished
Advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards, commercial availability and cost of materials
Practical field experience
Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programs
