Organization & Role
The is looking for a highly-motivated, energetic, technically driven Mechanical Engineer to focus on the development of mechanical systems for products within the Semiconductor Test division. Development occurs in a dynamic and challenging multi-site development environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Design of metal support structures to house the test equipment
Design of custom plastic injection molded components
Design of automated machinery to transport components within the test system
Tolerance analysis of mechanical parts and assemblies to ensure proper function and assembly
Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of critical assemblies and parts to ensure material strength in application
Thermal analysis and component design to ensure sufficient cooling of electronics
Packaging of electronics, computers, and PCBAs
Cable routing and cable harness design
Executing good Design for Manufacturing practices to achieve cost and service objectives
Detailed drawing creation and documentation releases
Use of ASME and GD&T drawing standards and practices
Basic Qualifications,Experience, Skills & Education Required:
BSME or MSME
Self Motivated individual
Project experience with mechatronics
Hands-on problem-solving experience
Solidworks CAD
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Background in GD&T
Solidworks PDM Pro is a plus
