The Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Engineer oversees the overall MEPF (mechanical; electrical; plumbing and sanitary; fire protection and detection) design of a project on his assigned brand. It is his responsibility to ensure plan accuracy, quality (minimal defects such as clashes and under-calculation), and timeliness on submission. The MEPF Engineer is to render technical support to construction group and operations to resolve on-site concerns involving MEPF systems and equipment. The MEPF Engineer is also to perform site investigation and produce comprehensive S.I. report.
Key Responsibilities:
Design Management:
Review MEPF plans for compliance with JFC design standards.
Attend coordination meetings with architects and MEPF consultants.
Manage MEPF consultant timelines and enforce adherence to engineering codes and standards.
Report consultant deficiencies and design deficiencies impacting construction costs.
Enforce strict plan quality standards for construction drawings.
Technical Support:
Provide technical support to project-in-charge (PIC) and resolve on-site MEPF concerns.
Perform MEPF construction audits, capturing best practices and deviations.
Produce technical reports for various stakeholders.
Conduct post-construction audits based on MEPF standard compliance.
Site Investigation:
Conduct site investigations and attend coordination meetings.
Submit comprehensive Site Investigation (S.I.) reports.
Coordinate with mall engineers and lessors to validate MEPF requirements and suggest adjustments or upgrades.
Innovation and Development:
Provide electrical load schedules and riser diagrams.
Assist PIC in specifying MEPF equipment and materials.
Research and develop technological advances in MEP systems and equipment.
Prepare engineering studies and schematic designs for new systems.
Attend technical seminars and industry-related events.
Administrative Requirements:
Process the Notice to Proceed (NTP) for MEPF consultants.
Handle consultant fee processing (SHC) and reprocessing of documents when necessary.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
Minimum three (3) years of experience in HVAC/R, Fire Protection, Electrical, Sanitary, and Plumbing Design (Installation experience is an advantage).
PRC License: Mechanical Engineer; Electrical Engineer.
General technical knowledge in MEPF, analytical skills, ESH (safety) awareness, process management, computer literacy (AutoCAD and/or Revit).
Must be willing to work in Ortigas, Pasig.
