Job Description
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the key objective of the position of Mechanical Design Engineer is to provide mechanical engineering and technical expertise for product development, process improvement and manufacture support.
Qualifications
Creates CAD models in Solidworks, with a high level of expertise, including part, assemblies, and drawings, along with bills of materials (BOM) to support manufacturing, testing and assembly process.
Proven experience in manufacturing industry
Understanding of machining, manufacturing and related process.
Experience in reverse engineering of mechanical components.
Evaluating mechanical systems and products by designing and conducting research programs, applying principles of mechanics and engineering.
Designs parts, components, and assemblies to meet the requirements of assigned products and projects.
Evaluates component design using calculations, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and a sound experience of industry best practice
Able to select the correct materials for manufacture by ensuring the materials can be sourced.
Confirms system and product capabilities through feasibility checks and testing methods.
Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for machining, building, assembling and installing components.
Technical reviews of requirements, specifications, design and codes.
DFM / DFA principles and continuous improvement into all phases of product evaluation and design development.
Exposure to mining related equipment (highly preferred but not required)

Work Schedule
Monday to Friday (6AM - 3PM; Flexible Manila Time)
Location (Flexible setup - Homebased and officebased)
Temporary Homebased (candidate should have their personal equipment at home
Candidate is also required to report in the office for 10 days every month (Eastwood, Libis or Alabang, Muntinlupa - candidate's preference).
Candidates should have stable and reliable internet connection at home (at least 10MBPS for both download and upload speed)
