We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to work the midshift in our Makati office.
We currently offer work-from-home (WFH) arrangements, until the quarantine is fully lifted and we are ready to move back to our office. You must be WFH-capable with a strong internet connection. We will provide the work equipment upon commencement.

In this position, you will be assigned to our client, a global medical technology company that is an expert in infection prevention and control.
Your Responsibilities
The Mechanical Design Engineer will support the growth of the company by providing mechanical design and engineering expertise, and support for current product range and new product development program.
In this role, your duties and tasks include:
Overseeing the mechanical design of new products
Implementation and testing
Overseeing the product from early stages to full manufacture
Reactively resolving any mechanical issues
Liaising with third party suppliers
Being involved in cross-functional, new product development processes
Making proactive improvements to product design
Project managing design packages for new products
Your Background
To qualify for this role, you are required to have:
Ideally qualified to HNC / HND / degree levels in mechanical engineering or a related discipline
At least 3 years' experience developing engineering designs for real world applications
Good working knowledge of 3D CAD Systems
Formal training in Solidworks, preferably
Working knowledge of PDM / Vault systems for data management, if possible
Formal training in mechanical engineering
Practical experience in design and engineering for manufacture and assembly
Knowledge of UK and European safety standards, and ideally global safety standards
Knowledge of specification and verification document creation
Experience in project managing product development from concept to production, preferably
Strong IT skills, experience with MS Office
Good communication skills, written and oral
Ability to work in and adapt to a rapidly changing environment
Awareness of confidentiality policies and practices in handling sensitive data
Knowledge and experience in medical device manufacturing, if possible
