About the role
TheMarketingDirectorfor the Philippines will be charged with driving breakthrough performance and backing the Managing Director of the Philippines to lead the development of a transformational marketing strategy. They will be accountable for creating a high performing commercial organization and executing the marketing programs necessary to step-change profitability and growth creation.
Being role model in developing strategic marketing direction that translates into long-range brand building strategies and innovative marketing plans will be a critical focus to this role.
The Marketing Director's key responsibilities are to
Own the Portfolio Participation Strategy & Execution based on local insights and opportunities, and reflecting Diageo strategic direction.
Manage the Portfolio and individual brands within the portfolio, on a daily basis, with clear accountability for all brand measures and ensuring compliance across the brands.
Key Accountabilities
MARKETINGLEADERSHIP:developanddeliverleadingedge,marketingplansandactivitiesthatcreatesustainablebrand-led growth. Work with the Global Brand Teams (GBTs) in the creation/ adaptation of key growth drivers, including and not limited to ATL communications, BTL campaigns and digital. Hold and raise the standards on marketing flair in creation and brilliance in execution. Develop strong & effective media plans and ensure A&P effectiveness.
INNOVATION:Through working in partnership with innovation, drive the identification of transformational growth opportunities. Orchestrate the execution of innovation plans to step-change value growth.
GALVANISESALESANDMARKETING:Working in partnership with the Sales and Commercial teams, role model the organizational and cultural change required to transform our customer agenda. Leverage consumer, shopper and consumer insights to breakthrough performance of relevant Diageo brands and drive the development of channel or pricing innovations.
TALENTPOOLCREATION:Developingandmotivatingindividualstoprovideaneffectivemarketingteamtoassurethelegacy in the talent agenda.
BRILLIANTRELATIONSHIPS:Establish and nurture relationships with key internal & external stakeholders (agencies, external strategic partners, GBT's, Finance, HR, etc.)
STRONGSTRATEGICSKILLS:Leading the thinking on Overall Strategy for the Philippines business, Business Model, right financials and Trademark Strategy for Participation across the various categories in the Philippines TBA.
What You Need to Bring to This Role
A key part of this role is to also ensure the use of creative excellence, disciplined project leadership and management in crafting new opportunities from multiple start points.
The ability to navigate through Key Stakeholders within Diageo will be necessary for Success and Traction.
TheMarketingDirectorwill also be the repository of learnings for future opportunities, on whom the business will lean for development of business Strategies.
Role Requirements
A minimum of 12 years marketing experience and prior experience working in a matrix multinational environment.
Experience in full marketing mix, including grounding of consumer insight, brand propositioning and customer relationship management.
Proven experience in high-level (numerical) analysis to accurately assess and execute business situation.
Knowledge and passion for the organization and its products/ brands strongly required.
Excellent communication and influencing skills using tact, patience and courtesy.
Considerable drive, energy, leadership and focus to sufficiently energize the internal and external resources of the company to execute the agreed objectives on assigned brand.
Creative with an eye for detail
Flexibility to adapt to an ever-changing environment and marketing conditions.
MarketingJudgment:Proof of consumer understanding and insight generation. Growth driver implementation and understanding of how to flex, search & spin, measurement and evaluation.
ExcellenceinExecution:Focusedon process improvement to drive efficiency of execution of plans. Understands limitations of the external environment and Diageo Marketing Code considerations.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and proven track record in stakeholder management: RBDsandRBTs,GMs,market commercial managers, activation agencies, and distributors.
