Job Description
Preferred candidate with RHEL certification.
OS installation.
OS upgrades & patches.
Manage user accounts, groups.
File permission and quota management.
Installation and configuration of SAMBA, NFS and FTP server.
Scheduling jobs using crontab and at. Implementation of Virtual hosting with Web servers (Apache).
Understanding of 3 tier production architecture.
Package installation through YUM and RPM and updating the Patching time to time.
Configure storage, Network configuration.
Understanding of LVM, RAID and other storage concepts.
OS security hardening. Knowledge on Batch or Perl scripting.
Hands on experience on monitoring tools like Solarwind, Nagios, Zabbix. Advanced troubleshooting skills.
Working knowledge of TCP/IP, SMTP, and DHCP.
Candidate having experience in VMware and Windows as well will be preferred. Server hardware working experience on (HP/Dell/Cisco Blade servers) Technical documentation.
Experience in Windows or any other technology would be an advantage.
