Job Summary:
The Reg Comp Legal Editor is a commercial owner of the products assigned to the position and is responsible for assuring their quality, comprehensiveness, utility, and currency. This must be done in the context of a full awareness of customer needs, competitor activity and commercial drivers.
The Regulatory Compliance (RegComp) Legal Editor is responsible for the day-to-day monitoring of new legislations and product improvement. Primary responsibilities include:
Drafting legislation updates;
QA of drafted alerts;
Uploading of alerts;
Uploading of new assets;
QA of uploaded assets; and
clean up and troubleshooting of existing assets.
Close interaction with team members in Australia and within REPH is required to carry out the role effectively.
Accountabilities:
Monitor alerts from Capmon, Parl, ASIC and Feedly and send tracking alerts email to the Business Unit.
Draft an alert if new legislation affects any obligation in order to provide subscribers of the latest obligation. Legal accuracy and comprehensiveness of the content should be ensured.
Quality audit of the drafted alert before uploading in Edit+.
Upload of new assets should be accurate.
Clean up of links and information in existing assets if no longer current.
Must possess the ability to think laterally, analytically, not just be process driven.
They will also need to be really independent and reliable.
Qualifications:
Law degree
Good written and spoken communication skills
Must be keen to details
Must have strong analytical skills
Must be a team player
Editorial experience is a plus
Must be in current role for the last 12 months (internal)
No disciplinary action for the last 12 months (internal)
No attendance, behavioral or performance issues for the last 12 months (internal)
