Job Description
Legal Counsel works closely with the legal team within the APAC region including with other legal team globally within IB and all relevant internal and external stakeholders on all key initiatives in the dedicated area of work. Gives accurate and timely counsel and assistance to management, internal and external stakeholders in particular on employment/intellectual property related matters including supporting on a variety of legal topics covered (whenever needed) within the APAC region.
Key responsibilities:
Responsible for management of highly complex tasks that fall under the assigned sector.
Assisting Chief Regional Counsel in organizing and managing distribution of tasks.
Contributes to matters falling outside the assigned area, such as projects, collaboration in mission teams and similar.
Represents the interests of the company in negotiations with partners/stakeholders
Coordinates implementation of global strategy and global initiatives, alignment in the assigned sector, and reports accordingly to the Chief Regional Counsel.
Assists in implementation of Department strategy for alignment with trends and regulation changes.
Act as a mentor to the team.
Monitors and adjusts the fulfillment of Department's related initiatives, strategy and overall responsibility, executes the necessary steps to ensure timely implementation.
Qualifications
Key requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Law with minimum of 5 years experiences in similar field.
Having exposure in APAC region will be an advantage.
Preferably from telecommunication Industry. Having relevant experience acquired within the industry or other relevant-related field.
Strong work ethic dedicated and efficient in handling appointed assignments, good organizational skills with ability to handle multiple tasks in fast paced environment, solution oriented, showing initiative in taking assignments, self-driven and eager in communicating ideas.
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to advocate for a position while maintaining collaborative and open-minded approach.
Excellent team work and problem solving skills.
Shows interest for learning new things, for bigger picture and understanding of business that is working in, and strong desire to get things done.
