Job Description
The Architect will support the design the NFVI, 5G and IMS solutions for customers, mainly in APJ region. The Architect will need to work closely with multiple internal stake holders like the Customer Team, Pre-sales Team, Services Organisation Locally and Globally as well as with Nokia R&D Organizations. The Architect is required to have Multi-product competences and domain competence (3G, 4G EPC, VoWiFi, IMS, VoLTE and 5G) to create complete e2e complex Data Centre Cloud and Mobile Network solution design. The Architect is also expected to have a should knowledge of Security domain when applied to Data Centre, especially the Telco Cloud platforms. The E2E Architect will primarily be the Single-Point-of-Contact for the Customer for any Architectural information and details of the project to be delivered. The Architect is expected to coordinate across cross-business units within Nokia in solution definition/development. The Architect will provide leadership to junior architects and also Guide in the Engineers with Architectural details when needed during Low-Level-Design or Troubleshooting. As part of Solution creation defines the needed technical competences for the solution and/or the customer project. Acts as permanent customer representative in Nokia in the competence area.
The scope of an assignment will dictate the technical and business skills demanded of an architect and may include an understanding, if not detailed knowledge, of a wide range of network technologies, and products, both Nokia and 3rd party. The Architect will engage closely with a customer to design & develop solutions to fulfil customer's needs by understanding the customer's challenges and architectures, and turning that into a customer solution. The Architect will also Understand a business opportunity for Nokia and use his knowledge and contacts to take responsibility for the technical design of a Nokia solution that fulfils the business opportunity. Provides the vital link between the business side of the solution (as represented by the business analyst/consultant) and the technology side (as represented by the application, infrastructure and operations architect).

Key Tasks and Activities:
Provides senior level solutioning and consulting, having expertise in areas of NFVI (Openstack and/or VMWare and ETSI MANO), 5G Core, VoWiFi, IMS, VoLTE and SDM, and solid industry knowledge acting as a source of expertise for colleagues. The Architecture should be very familiar with relevant 3GPP and ETSI specifications. Designs and leads the identification and specification of complex business solutions in complex customer environment. Organises and runs workshops with the Nokia key customers as part of marketing initiatives
Competences:
Performs technical risk evaluation of proposed design/solution.
Develop detailed Functional Requirements Analysis, Detailed Design for NFVI, 5G, and VoLTE network, to meet/exceed customer requirements
Captures and manages the functional and non-functional requirements by using industry best practices and creates/contributes to customer requirement summaries for solution development use.
Owns and delivers the High-Level-Design (HLD) document for the project.
Creates the Customer Solution evolution roadmap. Provides migration concepts from existing to new network architecture.
Provide inputs and review service costing for the execution of the scope meeting customer requirements
Together with Project Manager, delivers accurate effort estimates in sales phase and review Solution Architects' effort estimates.
Scoping of unique customer solutions containing products and services from NSN and partners as well as customer specific technologies.
Scoping of nonstandard solutions containing products and services from Nokia Siemens Networks, third party partners as well as customer specific technologies.
Identifies, recommends and/or initiates product/services/process improvement
Able to provide technical guidance to the Engineering team
Presents Nokia architectural approach in seminars and professional events
Participates in planning and in various development programs by providing the architecture view.
Evaluates new technologies for solutions.

Qualifications
Education: Bachelors' Degree in Technology / Science from a reputed University
Minimum of 8 years of practical experience in the implementation of NFVI, IMS, VoLTE and VoWifi network in customer environment
Experience in delivering Commercial or PoC of 5G Core is necessary
