LEAD - BILLING OPERATION
The role of the Team Lead of Billing Operation is to help manage the team and the operations effectively by facilitating the timely and accurate receipt of bills and collections of revenue. The Team Lead is also expected to assist in training functions and quality assurance standards with new and existing team members as needed.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide daily support, direction, and coaching for team members
- Maintain and adhere to any established turn-around times (TATs) proactively, communicating any potential delays
- Identify and analyzation of trends and areas of opportunity in order to determine the best course of action for a more efficient workflow and optimal collection rate
- Maintains open communication with the management and other stakeholders with regards to clients' satisfaction and team health
- Assist in QA of staff
- Team performance management
- Ensure that all analysts maintain professional communications with all clients; both internal and external
- Monitor fluctuations in workload volume and provide contingency plans to avoid backlogs
- Maintain clear channels of communication with management
- Run and interpret weekly and daily reports to identify trends and escalate problem areas to manager/supervisor for review.
- Exhibit good judgment and the ability to work effectively with limited supervision.
- Provide excellent and professional customer service to external and internal customers
- Work special priority projects as assigned within established turnaround times- Complete other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must possess a bachelor's degree in any field
- Minimum 4 - 5 years of experience in the BPO (Healthcare) industry preferred, with at least 1 - 2 years in a lead role
- Prior experience in medical billing, bill review or in a health-related field with knowledge of insurance and/or medical terminology/coding (i.e. CPT/HCPCS and ICD) required
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel and general computer literacy, working with dual screens
- Exposure to and basic understanding of reports and features used in Medical Billing Operations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organizational skills, prioritization, problem-solving and decision-making skills are required
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills are also required
- Willing to work any assigned shift during the week in Mandaluyong City (temporary WFH set-up during the pandemic)
