About the job Lead Backend Software Engineer
Job Purpose
The Lead Backend Software Engineer will be esponsible for the design and development of web applications and providing technical leadership to other engineers. The LSE will be working closely with the project manager, technical manager, and other software engineers to develop high-quality products. The LSE will also be interacting with other departments for production support.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement quality web applications
Participate in the design, architecture, and performance optimization of web applications
Join calls with customers and partners as needed
Resolve bugs, refactor and optimize code
Create and maintain technical documentation
Provide application-level production support
Help the web development team in establishing best practices and coding guidelines
Manage/mentor other engineers
Improve code quality by participating in peer code reviews
Work with the IT Director and Technical Manager in establishing a team process map/workflow
Research and development of new technologies to advance and better the quality of product and other deliverables
Adhere to Company processes and procedures to enable smooth flow of product development lifecycle and operations management
Provide feedback to the company whenever necessary
Qualifications
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
More than 5 years of experience in web applications development
Leadership experience
Strong understanding of software development practices and concepts
