We are looking for a JR Quality Assurance (QA) Software Engineer to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality. Responsibilities include designing and implementing tests, debugging and defining corrective actions. You will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.g. defect densities and open defect counts.) Our ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client needs, while being cost-effective. If you hold an engineering background and enjoy providing end-to-end solutions to software quality problems, we'd like to meet you. Ultimately, you should monitor all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards.
Responsibilities
Own functional, regression and acceptance testing of web applications. Testing layout, interface usability and looking for user experience improvements.
Participate in the software development life cycle from beginning to end.
Create and execute test plans for existing products and features.
Work with development teams to define testing protocols for new features as they are designed and developed.
Provide additional cross-functional test support for other team members
Develop test scenarios from requirements and ensure maximum requirement traceability.
Providing detailed bug reports to the Engineering Team using JIRA.
Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
Monitor debugging process results
Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer or Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience.
4+ years in a Quality Assurance role out of which at least 3+ years are in software testing, preferably on different operating systems and various browsers.
Experience in manual testing and automation testing
Combination of solid in-depth knowledge of quality assurance, solid understanding of web/mobile technologies, as well as knowledge of automation tools.
Experience working on web protocols and data formats such as HTTPS and JSON.
Experience testing cloud APIs.
Good understanding of common UI/UX principles, paradigms and user journeys.
Knowledge of testing automation frameworks and software
Basic knowledge of integrating test automation in CI/CD pipelines
