FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. OFFSET MACHINE OPERATION
- Set-ups, adjusts, and operates offset printing presses to print various printed materials.
- Makes adjustments, cleans, lubricates offset printing press to achieve successful printing operation.
- Develops and maintains the correct pressure and registration between the plates and ink in order to obtain a clean and impression of the material being printed.
- Resolves technical problems with presses, inks , and other solutions as necessary.
- Responsible for calling attention of any problems with equipment to the Offset Printing Senior Operator and/or Offset Printing Supervisor.
2. OFFSET MACHINE PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE
- Performs all regular daily, weekly or monthly maintenance for offset printing machines in compliance to the department's schedule.
3. QUALITY CONTROL
- Diligently inspects work in progress and finished printed materials to ensure the quality standards and accuracy of printing is being maintained.
4. OFFSET PRINTING MATERIALS HANDLING
- Prepares the list of offset printing materials ahead of time prior the scheduled running of project on each machine.
- May delegate the need for printing materials and informs the offset helper to request it at the Consumables Dept.
5. REPORTORIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prepares and completes required reports by the superior accurately and on-time.
6. OTHERS
- Performs other related jobs as required.
