The Data Engineer is responsible for developing data solutions to fit business needs. S/he is accountable for the accuracy and availability of data.
Work with the data architect and collaborates with data engineering and data analytics teams to innovate and solve business needs.
Use Amplitude as a base for developing data solutions.
Manage Amplitude data integrations and take ownership of the performance and accuracy.
Create automated data testing and validation suites.
Implement and maintain a disaster recovery framework.
Bachelor software engineering, computer science or equivalent.
Minimum 1+ years of software engineering experience
Clear communication and technical documentation skills
Required:
Experience developing and maintaining data and Extract, Transform, Load (ELT) pipelines
Knowledge and application of SQL concepts and commands (tables, joins, unions, ANSI SQL functions, DDL & DML)
Knowledge and application of data warehousing concepts (entities, relationships, entity and referential integrities, normalizations, schemas)
Coding in any programming language (Python, Java etc.)
Knowledge and application of the basic programming constructs (sequence, selection, iteration)
Preferred: * Hands-on experience designing secure solutions using Amazon Web Services (AWS) services including Lambda, CloudWatch, SNS/SQS, S3.
Experience with automated build, testing and continuous deployment of Cloud based applications.
Experience managing security of PII and sensitive data.
