WHAT IS A JUNIOR AND SENIOR ACCOUNTANT Our awesome client, a leading business technology firm in Australia is looking for a JUNIOR AND SENIOR ACCOUNTANT to be part of their team. WHAT WILL BE YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES PRIMARY FUNCTION .We are looking for an experienced, qualified Accountant to act as support for our clients across all facets of accounts management PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES .Managing the end-to-end accounts function for our clients including bookkeeping, BAS, payroll, payment runs.Accounts payable and receivables management.Accurate supplier payment run preparation.Debtor management and ensuring invoices are paid on time.Accurate and timely preparation of client work.Completion of IAS and BAS returns before the ATO due date.Reconciling and reviewing accounts in a timely manner.Ad-hoc assistance to the head of finance.Helping implement best practices and process improvements IN ADDITION TO THE ABOVE, YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO .Participate in various strategy workshops and brainstorm sessions.Broaden your generalist consulting skills and knowledge.Assist with other commercial and analysis projects as required by your Manager(s) A SUCCESSFUL TEAM MEMBER SHOULD .Be energetic and passionate about start-ups and helping and scaling businesses.Think outside the box and offer innovative solutions - yet still be practical and structured in your approach.Always put the client first and be an excellent relationship manager - yet still be bold enough to have tough conversations regarding areas that need to improve in the business.Be able to think fast and problem-solve on the fly - yet still always look to be as prepared and well-planned as possible.Love new technology and be an early adopter - yet still be patient with clients who may be averse to change.Be strategic and full of commercial ideas - yet still be willing and resourceful enough to execute and be 'hands on' with any ground work, 'data-crunching' and implementation tasks..Have a strong work ethic and work hard - yet still able to have fun and play hard WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR PERSONAL SKILLS AND QUALITIES .Good time management with a sense of urgency.Ability to think quickly and work independently.Proactive, resourceful, self-motivated, confident.Capable of handling stress, pressure and change.Self-starter, takes initiative.Precise, accurate and attentive to details.Can multitask in a dynamic business environment SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS .Perfect and excellent written and spoken English.Willing to work Australian hours (Melbourne).Knowledge of the Australian Tax System and Legislation.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).Advanced knowledge of Gmail / Google Doc, Sheets, Mail, Calendar.Experience with Xero (desirable, but if not we will teach you).Experience with Australian businesses is preferred QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE .Previous experience as an Accountant is essential.Bachelors Degree from a reputable College or University.At least three years' work experience
