Overview
CHAMP Cargosystems, a global leader in innovative IT logistics solutions for the air cargo industry, is seeking a Junior Accountant to join our team in Manila, Philippines.
As part of the Finance Department and reporting to the Finance Director, you will play an important role in helping to do the General Accounting for multiple sets of books for CHAMP Cargosystems subsidiaries.
Your responsibilities will include assisting in accounting and reporting tasks, supporting general accounting processes, and participating in month-end and year-end closing processes. Additionally, you will be involved in treasury activities, internal control maintenance, and contributing to special projects as needed.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in various accounting and reporting tasks
- Support the General Accounting (GL, AP & AR) processes for several operating companies of
international Group, ensuring compliance with local GAAPs and IFRS accounting
- Assist with day-to-day bookkeeping operations
- Aid in accounts reconciliations and checklist maintenance for month-end and year-end close processes
- Participate in preparing of annual financial statements
- Support Treasury activities, such as daily cash management and participation in the implementation of Group cash pool
- Actively participate in maintaining internal control policies and procedures
- Provide assistance on special projects, as needed
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Eager and quick learner with a curious mind
- Proficiency in MS Office tools, especially Excel is required
- Familiarity with SAP is considered a plus
- Fluency in English is mandatory, and knowledge of German, French and/or another language is a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently
- Experience in cross-functional and multicultural environments
- Open-minded team player with a knack for providing creative, efficient, and pragmatic
solutions
Education and Experience:
- Relevant degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance
- Previous professional experience of at least 1-2 years in accounting or finance roles is preferred
