We have a great opportunity for Jr. Network Design Engineer to work with our Water group.
The role will be responsible in the completion of projects to a technical standard acceptable within the industry and of hydrological/hydraulic components of a project, including targeted input into specific investigations, feasibility studies, and functional and detailed designs.
Other tasks include but not limited to:
Conduct specific investigations and assignments.
Pursue professional and commercial development opportunities.
Develop and maintain the required knowledge, understanding and application of GHD's Quality, Environmental Management and Occupational Health, & Safety Systems.
Recommend improvements and innovations.
What you will bring to the team:
BS or BE in Civil/Environmental Engineering
MS or ME in Water Resources/Civil Engineering (plus factor only)
Minimum of 5 years' experience in civil engineering related to water resources and hydrology, preferably in a consulting setting.
Specialist technical ability in the development of hydrologic and/or hydraulic models, especially TUFLOW
Familiarity with a GIS application preferable (MapInfo/Arc/QGIS)
Knowledge of SewerCAD / SewerGEMS, Civil 3D, CAD applications is desirable.
An understanding of and experience in applying ARR2016 in flood studies is desirable.
Ability to validate or sanity check model results
Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel and Word).
Exhibit highly developed communication skills, both oral and written.
Strong team development skills, a cooperative team player
