We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Financial Accountant who is fluent in Mandarin to join our team. As a Junior Financial Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial processes and reporting. Your proficiency in Mandarin, knowledge of financial principles, and ability to work with various accounting tasks will contribute to the success of our finance department.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Review and validate invoices:
Verify the accuracy of invoices and input the details into the ERP system.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve any discrepancies or issues.
2. Process wire/EFT payments:
Facilitate the payment process by accurately processing wire transfers and electronic funds transfers.
Ensure payments are made in a timely manner and in accordance with established procedures.
3. Create and amend customer data:
Maintain customer records in the ERP system, creating or updating information as needed.
Ensure customer data is accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
4. Manage vendor/supplier queries:
Address vendor or supplier inquiries related to payments, invoices, or other financial matters.
Provide timely and accurate responses, maintaining positive relationships with vendors/suppliers.
5. Perform vendor reconciliations:
Reconcile vendor accounts to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues with vendor accounts.
6. Prepare reports and meet deadlines:
Generate and compile reports based on agreed deadlines with clients or internal stakeholders.
Provide accurate and comprehensive financial information for reporting purposes.
7. Familiarity with IFRS and local accounting principles:
Have a basic understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and/or other local accounting principles.
Apply knowledge of accounting principles to financial controlling processes, such as balance sheet analysis and financial reporting.
8. Strong MS Office knowledge:
Utilize MS Office tools, particularly Excel, to perform various financial tasks, data analysis, and reporting.
Job Requirements:
Proficiency in the Mandarin language is a must.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accountancy, Banking, Business Studies/Administration/Management, or equivalent.
Above-average to excellent verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in Mandarin and English.
Fresh graduates in relevant fields are encouraged to apply.
For non-native Mandarin speakers, an HSK 3-4 certification is an advantage but not required.
Familiarity with financial controlling processes, balance sheet analysis, and group and local financial reporting.
Basic understanding of accounting principles and knowledge of IFRS is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of MS Office tools, particularly Excel.
