Job Description:
The Accounts Payable and Disbursement Assistant are responsible for processing vendor payments and purchasing card expenses with due regard to Veltrup Technik Philippines Inc. policies and procedures, GAAP, rules and regulations and government legislation.
Responsibilities & Duties:
· Process all vendor invoices for payment, ensuring proper documentation and authorization.
· Back up for processing payment request and employee reimbursements, ensuring government legislations, GAAP
· Review vendors account statements and follow up on outstanding invoices.
· Assist users with interpretation and understanding of proper policies and procedures.
· Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
· Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports, recording entries.
· Pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities; scheduling and preparing of checks; resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentations; insuring credit is received for outstanding memos, issuing stop-payments or purchase order amendments.
· Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
· Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
· Maintains historical records and filing documents.
· Disburses petty cash by recording entry; verifying documentation.
· Protects organizations value by keeping information confidential
· Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
· Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
