Chimera Enterprises International is seeking a Journeyman Emergency Management Specialist to support the United States Coast Guard (USCG), Office of Emergency Management and Disaster Response (CG-OEM). The mission of the USCG Office of Emergency Management and Disaster Response (CG-OEM) is to develop policy for USCG emergency management planning, incident management and disaster response, exercises, and interagency cooperation. This position will assist with the full range of the USCG's Cycle of Preparedness which includes the following steps: Plan, Organize/Equip, Train, Exercise, and Evaluate/Improve.
Requirements
BA/BS or MA/MS degree and 3 to 10 years of experience
Proficient on SharePoint and technical proficiency on Microsoft Suite products
United States Coast Guard experience desired
Active Secret Clearance
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Assist in facilitating meetings and provide other programmatic support for updates of the Emergency Management Program policy, guidance, manuals, and directives.
Assist in facilitating workshops, seminars, workgroups, conferences and other events as determined by the COR.
Support and assist in the development, refinement, and maintenance of preparedness/readiness measures and metrics to evaluate overall and unit specific preparedness.
Provide support and assistance of analysis and research into best practices, historical trends, and other measurement indicators.
Assist with the preparedness steps of Organize/Equip and Training.
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for Pandemic Preparedness during actual communicable disease events, which may require irregular hours. Respond to Pandemic Preparedness Requests for Information (RFIs) from the White House, Congress, and Other Government Agencies as determined by the COR.
Assist in the development and maintenance of a USCG Multi-Year Training and Exercise Plan (MTEP). Assist in the facilitation of the Training and Exercise Plan Workshop with USCG Program Managers on exercise requirements, scheduling, and resource apportionment as well as developing an AAR on the MTEP process.
Develop a multi-year training and exercise schedule and support calendar. Track the status of scheduled exercises on a continual basis and maintain a calendar type display of the scheduled exercises.
Provide web support at the Program Office in Washington, DC, including the design, creation, and regular maintenance of collaboration communities and unit web pages in support of the Emergency Management and Disaster Response Policy Program.
Plan and conduct monthly Webinar series educating USCG members on timely preparedness topics.
