IT OFFICER (RETAIL INVENTORY SYSTEMS & DIGITAL OPERATIONS)
 
Job Summary
 
The IT Officer is responsible for managing and maintaining the company's retail inventory systems, POS platforms, and basic IT infrastructure, while also supporting website operations and social media technical requirements. This role ensures smooth daily store operations, accurate inventory data, and reliable digital platforms that support sales and marketing activities.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
Retail Inventory & POS Systems
Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot inventory management and POS systems across stores
Ensure accurate stock tracking, item coding, pricing updates, and system synchronization
Support stock receiving, transfers, adjustments, and reporting functions
Coordinate with store staff to resolve system-related issues quickly
Generate inventory and sales reports for management review
Assist in system upgrades, backups, and data security procedures
IT Infrastructure & Technical Support
Provide basic IT support for computers, printers, scanners, routers, and network connections
Maintain user access, passwords, and system permissions
Coordinate with external IT vendors and software providers when needed
Ensure data protection, backups, and basic cybersecurity practices
Website Operations
Manage and update company website content (products, images, prices, announcements)
Coordinate with designers or developers for website enhancements or troubleshooting
Ensure website functionality, uptime, and basic SEO best practices
Upload promotional banners, landing pages, and seasonal campaigns
Social Media & Digital Support
Provide technical support for social media platforms (Meta, Instagram, TikTok, etc.)
Assist in setting up ads, tracking pixels, analytics, and integrations
Upload content, manage access rights, and ensure platform security
Support digital marketing campaigns with technical and reporting needs
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
Experience with retail inventory systems and POS software
Basic knowledge of website management (CMS such as WordPress or similar)
Familiarity with social media platforms and digital tools
Basic programming or scripting skills are an advantage
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to support multiple departments
Preferred Experience
Experience in retail, fashion, or multi-branch store operations
Knowledge of e-commerce integration and online inventory syncing
Experience working with digital marketing teams
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Accuracy and reliability of inventory data
System uptime and response time to technical issues
Timely website and digital platform updates
User satisfaction from store and marketing teams
