Job Description:
Job purpose
The position identified is responsible for driving the delivery for Digital Programs at the regional level for Asia. Projects will typically use the Agile and SDLC methodology and utilizing Digital technologies: Mobile, Cloud, Social, Analytics, and AI. The position also has account management, people management, R&D, and project management responsibilities
Major accountabilities
Program Management
Drive the Digital Program to a successful completion at the regional level in Asia on time and on budget with high quality
Manage the various stakeholders from business and IT
Develop and maintain road maps and capability development plans
Conduct Cost benefit analysis on project feasibility
Identify program and project vision, objectives and risks
Define program and project project scope, deliverables and roles and responsibilities in collaboration with stakeholders and business partners
Drive the Scrum Masters and Project Managers of the individual projects
Scrum Master / Project Management
Delight the customer
Facilitate the work of the team to deliver to project objectives
Own and guide the team in Agile/Scrum practices
Deliver projects on time, on budget, and within acceptable quality
Plan budgets for equipment, resources and vendors
Identify, analyze and prioritize project risks and impact of risks on the project
Comply with organizational Project process and documentation requirements
Resource Management
Acquire, develop, manage, and mentor resources within the team
Oversees daily activities and provides guidance to resources as necessary
Forecast resource demand and manage supply
Cascades all policies and procedures, strategies, information and other concerns to all reporting staff.
Develops and executes employee development plans
Conduct Performance Evaluations for team members and manage high and low performers appropriately
Ensures productivity and utilization of staff and general performance
Account Management
Build relationships with business stakeholders and ensure project support and commitment
Obtain stakeholder approval and commitment for project plan and resources to achieve project goals
Develop a communications plan to update stakeholders of the progress and approval process
Research & Development
Keep abreast of latest trends in technology by regularly surveying market landscape for solution insights,
direction, vendors, and methods to assess their viability for use within the enterprise
Develop prototypes to potentially use these solutions in the enterprise
Education and experience
10 to 20 year total experience in IT with at least 3 as a Manager
Must have prior experience as a Program Manager
Must have enterprise IT experience
Knowledge and/or experience with Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous
Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games
Knowledge and experience in Agile EVM Metric Preferred
College/University Degree preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business
Scrum Master Certification Preferred
Preferred Skills:
Experience as a Scrum Master that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory
Has Mobile, Cloud, or Big Data Analytics experience
Has experience working with JAVA SOA / Web Services
