PURPOSE STATEMENT
The IT Capacity Management Analyst III is responsible for ensuring that IT components always maintain adequate capacity to meet Alorica's business needs in a cost-effective manner.
IT Capacity Management Analysts will analyze network, unified communications, and enterprise systems data by monitoring system performance and making recommendations on process, performance, and utilization.
The Capacity Management Analyst works closely with service level management to ensure that the business' requirements for capacity and performance can be met. Capacity management supports the service desk and incident and problem management in the resolution of incidents and problems related to capacity.
The Capacity Management Analyst will be responsible for preparing utilization reports and presenting results to leadership.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Evaluate performance and prepare plans for capacity procedures and provide comprehensive support for same.
Coordinate with various departments and perform all capacity planning activities in facility.
Analyze capacity planning and provide appropriate recommendations.
Perform analysis on all development plans for production and ensure compliance to all customer.
Prepare performance models and plan capacity effectively.
Manage and maintain all system parameters for production schedule and monitor for effectiveness.
Provide assistance to analytical design of systems and forecast all resource capacity requirements.
Develop various new functions and capacity processes and modify existing ones.
Manage all key system metrics and provide support to all ad hoc reports and dashboards.
Design and maintain all performance capacity reports and statistics for management.
Analyze processes and identify process improvement enhancement.
Ensure compliance to all guidelines and ensure optimal utilization of all resources.
Other activities of capacity management include sizing (working with developers to understand capacity requirements of new services) and modeling (building statistical representations of systems).
EXPERIENCE:
Required experience:
Five or more years of previous experience in a senior level technical position required. Expert knowledge of at least three of the following technologies Windows, Linux, Azure, VMware, Virtualization technologies. MS SQL, Oracle, MS SharePoint, WAN, LAN, and SAN
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & OTHER CHARACTERISTICS:
Specific Job Related Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Other Characteristics:
Broad knowledge of IT technologies including: Windows, Linux, VMware, Virtualization technologies. MS SQL, Oracle, MS SharePoint, WAN, LAN, and SAN, NAS and storage technologies
Capacity Management methodologies based on ITIL principles, and awareness of the standard service life cycle, with experience in the transition or systems to production.
Demonstrated analytical and forecasting skills, using capacity management and performance measurement and monitoring tools.
Understanding of global server architectures and planning for systems with large-scale infrastructures design, over multiple global locations, including server performance, storage (SAN and NAS), and network requirements
Knowledge of data analytics tools such as Solarwinds, Power View, Service Now, SQL querying, REST API querying
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Visio, Excel, Power Point and Power BI
Experience with working with senior level executives and IT design engineers setting IT infrastructure policy
Experience working with vendors on understanding technology trends
Experience creating Plan of Records (POR)
Experience negotiating contracts with suppliers and/or subcontractors.
