The Job: IT Business Analyst II
We are seeking a Business Analyst who will bridge the product team and software engineering team. You will take input in the form of customer requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and user interaction designs from the product organization and document internal specifications to assist the engineering team in achieving these customer requirements. This role balances familiarity with business needs and practices with the technical aptitude to understand the technical requirements and scope and ensure that the developed software meets the outcomes defined by the product team.
Job Responsibilities
Determine the scope and detailed technical specifications to meet the customer requirements identified by the product team.
Communicate effectively with engineering and data science teams to ensure they understand the specifications.
Collaborate with the product management team to understand the problems they are trying to solve and participate in defining the technical solutions to these problems
Provide guidance to developers during software development
Provide guidance to quality assurance teams for the development of test plans, review test results and where possible collect user feedback and make recommendations for improvements to product functionality, performance, security or scalability
Required Qualification
At least 3 years of experience as IT Business Analyst or in a similar role
Strong in analytical thinking skills
Excellent at writing functional- and technical specifications
Familiar with all aspects of the software development lifecycle
Demonstrated experience with at least one programming language
Knowledge of modern software architectures
Knowledge of the principles of Machine Learning, especially in natural language processing
Strong team leadership, collaboration, and coordination skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language
Required Qualification
Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
Experience working in distributed teams
Fluent in the English language
