INVENTORY CONTROL SPECIALIST

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
 
To ensure accurate and reliable inventory data by leading and conducting wall‐to‐wall physical counts, validating stock variances, analyzing branch damages and RTV transactions, and reinforcing compliance with inventory policies across stores and distribution centers (DCs). The role provides specialist‐level support by benchmarking performance among field teams, coaching team members, identifying process gaps, and driving improvements that reduce shrinkage and enhance control integrity.
 
A. Wall‐to‐Wall Inventory Counts & Verification
Lead accurate and systematic wall‐to‐wall inventory counts for assigned stores and DCs.
Ensure reconciliation between physical counts and system inventory to strengthen inventory integrity.
Validate variances, document findings, and coordinate with stores/DCs to resolve discrepancies.
B. Variance Analysis, Reporting & Action Planning
Prepare and present detailed variance results to store/DC managers and stakeholders, clearly explaining discrepancies and trends.
Develop actionable recommendations and best practices for operations teams to reduce repeated variances.
Analyze trends to identify potential control gaps or recurring patterns requiring corrective action.
C. Damage, RTV & Transaction Validation
Strengthen branch damage and RTV monitoring through accurate validation and documentation review.
Trace discrepancies related to shrinkage, damaged goods, mis‐picks, TRFs, invoices, SAR, and STDR prior to system freeze.
Ensure all transactions adhere to company inventory policies and are properly documented.
D. Inventory Control Field Operations
Serve as part of the Inventory Control Field Team, deploying to stores and DCs to oversee count execution and adherence to inventory procedures
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Financial Management, Logistics, or related field.
