Job summary:
Primarily responsible in assisting the Internal Audit Head in providing Management an independent, objective assurance services designed to add value and improve the Company's operations. Will also perform individual audits, in accordance with the annual audit plan, to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes
Responsibilities:
Develops audit engagement plan and audit program based on the results of preliminary risk assessment in accordance with the company's internal audit methodology
Reviews, documents, evaluates and tests manual and automated systems and controls to determine their existence, adequacy, effectiveness and continuity
Communicates and reports on control deficiencies noted, non-compliance with internal policies and procedures, laws, regulations, service agreements and contracts
Monitors the status of audit recommendations and appraise the adequacy of actions taken on audit findings and recommendations
Identifies training needs with respect to auditing approaches, tools and techniques and remain current through an ongoing commitment to participation in learning and development
Develops and maintains professional relationships with clients
Assists the Department Head in the risk assessments for the development of annual internal audit plans
Performs other related duties as may be assigned by the Department Head
Qualifications:
Graduate of BS / BA in Accountin
Required: Certified Public Accountant
Certified Internal Auditor or Certified Information System Auditor preferred
At least four (4) years audit experience, through public accounting/auditing (Big 3 plus) and/or industry experience
Preferrably with working experience in bank/financial company
Good communication skills (oral and written), including the ability to write audit reports in a clear and concise manner.
Strong analytical skills
Detail oriented and conscientious
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with individuals at different levels of the organization.
Can work with minimal supervisionSound understanding of risk management concepts and internal controls systems or frameworks such as COBIT or COSO.
Knowledgeable in Philippine accounting standards
Knowledgeable in technology tools such as MS Office and Visio.
Must be willing to report physically in BGC Office
