Job Description
An Intermediate Tax Accountant holds immense importance in driving business success by leveraging their extensive tax knowledge. This position will enable you to work on a wide portfolio of clients including SME's, trusts, partnerships, and companies across a broad range of industry sectors within a virtual team or a permanent placement with an office location virtually.

Employment type: Full-time
Shift: Dayshift (7:00 AM to 4:00PM), Monday to Friday
Work Setup: Permanent WFH
Your role, a partnership for the future
Demonstrate tax knowledge, including the preparation of SMSF tax returns, activity statements, and adherence to the latest Australian tax rules.
Prepare work papers and reconcile them to the financial statement stage.
Prepare financial statements, income tax returns, and other lodgements for companies, partnerships, trusts, and various individual businesses.
Assist with general bookkeeping duties.
Aid clients in tax planning, including FBT, payroll tax, and STP compliance.
Contribute to business advisory projects, such as budgeting, cashflows, and management reporting.
Ensure the maintenance of all documentation, including work papers and client files, in accordance with the client's compliance requirements.
Your background, the key to success
Accounting degree or a related degree with a major in accounting.
Completed or working towards completion CA / CPA.
At least 3 years of proven accounting & taxation experiences with AU SMSF, tax & accounting
Thorough understanding of Australia and/or taxation legislation, including but not limited to GST,FBT, CGT, Division 7A
Strong commercial acumen paired with sound technical accounting and analytical skills
Ability to be able to identify issues and communicate effectively and efficiently
Experience with MYOB, Xero, Reckon, Quickbooks
Experience with Reckon APS program (desirable)
Proficient English writing and verbal skills
Excellent communication skills with strong relationship and stakeholder management
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise your workload
Collaborative, team player who understands the importance of building strong internal relationships across the wider client's business.
Ability to meet productivity and turnaround metrics
