Background
Our client is a successful Australian accounting business, who solve their client's accounting and tax pain points. The senior management have large corporate firm experience and are expanding their operations in the Philippines to accommodate the growth they are experiencing.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy
CPA qualified, or looking to become a CPA
At least 2 years of Accounting work experience, preferably with Australian Accounting work experience
Xero and/or MYOB competency and experience
Good level of oral and written communication skills
Quarterly travel to team meetings in Pampanga is both a requirement and also a feature of this role.
Duties and Responsibilities
As an intermediate accountant you will be responsible for:
1. Regular maintenance of client's cloud accounting file
2. Entering bank statement transactions into the software and able to post these using the coding and bank rules set by the firm.
3. Preparation of monthly/quarterly management accounts & processing of month end journals
4. Direct client contact and preparation of list of queries for the supervisor or director's approval
5. Preparation of balance sheet reconciliation including but not limited to:
Bank Reconciliations
Fixed Asset Registers
Lease liability Schedules
GST reconciliation
Income Tax reconciliation
ATO accounts
6. Payroll Processing including treasury services and payments of superannuation guarantee.
7. Accounts Payable/Receivable management including raising sales invoice and purchase invoices.
8. Preparation and lodgement of Business Activity Statements.
9. Preparation of Workers compensation declaration of actual wages.
10. Preparation and lodgement of a Taxable Payment Annual Report.
11. Preparation of individual tax returns and company tax returns.
12. Attend to Trust accounting reconciliations.
You will have attention to detail, commitment to a high standard of work and love what you do. Ideally, you will have worked with an Australian company and enjoy the independence and autonomy of working from home.
