Position Title: Intake Specialist
Classification: Client Staff
Salary Grade: 18,000 - 20,000 Peso/ month
Reports To: Account Manager, Client
Primary Relationships: Internal Teams and client staff

Background:
An Intake Specialist works in the medical field to direct a client or patient to the services they need. Intake specialists can work in various industries and workplaces, including hospitals, clinics, mental health facilities, and even law firms.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our clinic as an Intake Specialist. As part of our care team, you are the first point of contact for most new patients, gathering vital information and coordinating their entry into our care system. You accurately document the patients' medical history, current needs, relevant insurance information, and emergency contact information before placing them in our scheduling system and directing them to the appropriate department or office. You must have strong communication skills, experience with accurate data entry, and knowledge of common medical terminology.
Responsibilities:
Maintaining paperwork on a patient's medical needs and history and directing them towards the proper facility.
Work with a patient's family to help inform your understanding of a patient. Other duties include coordinating appointment times for clinical staff.
Maintain documentation of all patient information and acquire referral sources necessary to bill and collect for your services.
Gather relevant medical history and reasons for the current visit
Input insurance information
Direct clients to appropriate department or office
Document information accurately and protect patient privacy according to HIPAA guidelines
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree holder in any medical science or equivalent experience
A minimum of 1 year equivalent experience or customer service
Excellent English language skills (written and verbal)
Good time management and task management skills
Proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite
Solid analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent decision making skills
Able to demonstrate initiative
