Job Summary
This role requires a strong IT DevOps Engineer with technical skills across multiple disciplines responsible for managing day-to-day infrastructure and operations activities. The incumbent in this position, as a member of the Windows Platform Services Level 3 team and is responsible for Cloud platform that supports daily operations of applications running in our Azure Cloud and Amazon AWS environments. The engineer needs to be familiar with Migrating workloads from on prem to azure and AWS.
The incumbent performs advanced server administration and maintenance tasks and provides some application related server support. Incumbent is a recognized technical resource for the Cloud Administration Team for Windows Server, VMware, and Active Directory administration and is expected to contribute to the daily resolution of Windows Server related ticket requests. This position may lead medium to large sized projects and is expected to have excellent communication and support skills to
facilitate partnerships with peers and application teams.
The Infrastructure Engineer III reports directly to the Infrastructure Technical Lead and Sr. Manager Infrastructure.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Implementing various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure
Understanding customer requirements and project KPIs
Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation
Monitoring the processes during the entire lifecycle for its adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimizing the wastage
Design and Implement high availability Microsoft windows in a 24/7 datacenter enterprise environment.
Advance Working Knowledge of Microsoft windows 2012, 2016 and 2019 servers
Design and Implement of VMWare ESX server environment
Update, Design and Support Active Directory.
Perform system tuning and upgrade management to achieve optimum performance
Advance knowledge of systems security functions
Automate management tasks, streamline processes, and improve reliability in the infrastructure environment
Play a supplemental role in developing, implementing, and executing disaster recovery plans
Conduct hardware and software audits for compliance with established standards, policies, procedures, and configurations guidelines
Leads projects as assigned by Manager.
Independently utilizes resources (knowledgebases, online resources, etc) to research solutions for difficult problems.
Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support on the Infrastructure scope including manufacturing & supply chain infrastructure
Facilitate IT reports required by the business for analysis
Identify training needs and conduct formal training sessions to ensure that all team members have a thorough understanding of the departmental processes
Requirements
Skills / Attributes Required
Technical:
Experience with Virtualization: VMWare/Hyper-V/AWS/Azure
Experience with Enterprise Datacenter operations.
Experience of Ruby, Python, Perl, and Java
Experience with Windows Active Directory domain structure
Experienced with configuration and managing databases such as MySQL, Mongo
Experience moving on prem hosting environment to Cloud environments like AWS/Azure.
Excellent troubleshooting
Experience working on Linux & Windows based infrastructure
Minimum of 6 year of hands on with Server-side System Administration
Understanding and knowledge of DNS/DHCP servers
Incident handling for site wide critical issues
Proactively monitors environment for issues and improvement opportunities
Proven track record of troubleshooting hardware and software issues
Ability to solve problems quickly and methodically
Experience working in a global Manufacturing environment is a plus
Possess the ability to write batch files to automate process.
PowerShell scripting skills
Excellent understanding of TCP/IP based networks
Remote management experience respected
Ability to maintain in depth knowledge of security and networking infrastructure utilized by the company including the management and reporting of each

Preferred certifications: MCSE, MCP, MCTS, MCITP, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), RHCT, RHCE, RHCSA
Azure Certification is a huge plus
ITIL Certification preferred
VMware VCP Preferred
Amazon Web Service (AWS) Preferred
Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
