Project Description
Saudi Arabian Bechtel Company will provide executive project management consultancy services (including technical, commercial, and construction management) for the development of certain defined aspects of the NEOM Infrastructure in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. NEOM is a planned cross-border city in the Tabuk Province of northwestern Saudi Arabia. The site is near the Red Sea and the borders of Egypt, Israel, and Jordan. It will cover a total area of 26,500 km2 (10,200 sq. mi) and will extend 460 km along the coast of the Red Sea. NEOM will be the home and workplace to more than a million residents from around the world. It will include towns and cities, ports and enterprise zones, research centers, sports and entertainment venues, and tourist destinations. As a hub for innovation, entrepreneurs, business leaders, and companies will come to research, incubate, and commercialize new technologies and enterprises in groundbreaking ways.
Role
The Sr HR Specialist is an experienced HR Professional responsible for policies, and procedures assist Employee Relations to ensure successful project execution in compliance with the legislation, practices and policies of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Bechtel.
Job Duties
Provides guidance and support to ensure the projects HR policies, procedures and programs are compliant with employment legislation.
Provides advice and guidance to Senior Management and the Operations Support Team on employment legislation, and facilitate its implementation within Bechtel Human Resources.
Maintains excellent relationships with clients, subcontractors, and any appropriate authorities to resolve any problems concerning Bechtel, the project, and employees.
Work to mitigate any risk and to ensure positive outcomes of any issues both internal and external to the project.
Working with the HR Manager, ensures that Project Management is updated on any revisions to government rules, labor laws, or other legislative changes that may affect the project.
Understands project contract requirements and collaborates with project management, community organizations, and client personnel in support of the contract and successful execution of the project.
Assist the Region & Country HR team and Ethics and Compliance Officer for Code of Conduct and HR related issues raised on project.
Assist the Region & Country team in the employee grievances process to resolution.
Assist the Region & Country team, provides advice and assist in the conduct of formal employee investigations.
Assists management and provides advice on performance management cases.
Provides advice, guidance and support as required on return-to-work accommodations.
Provides a variety of HR services in compliance with Bechtel policies and procedures.
Qualifications / Experience
Bachelors Degree or Post graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management, Business, Psychology or related discipline.
A minimum of 10 Years of relevant HR experience in Saudi Arabia with experience handling Employee Relations matters.
Strong Human Resources knowledge and Saudi Arabia legal and employment legislation
Experience and demonstrated skill in identifying problem areas, investigating alternative solutions and finding action to be performed on problems affecting personnel administration.
Skill in the preparation and presentation of oral and written reports.
