Handles and provides support for various HR employee services within the organization and responsible for administering or processing transactions and workflows.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Execute key administration processes for the function to ensure operational requirements are met and that procedures and documentation are compliant with HR policy, legislation and regulatory requirements.
Assume responsibility for 'first line' general HR enquiries and managing the central mailbox and respond to all HR queries to provide accurate and appropriate information or guidance, or escalate as appropriate.
Provide input and review existing policies and/or guidelines.
Initiate and create process improvement projects to simplify existing tasks.
Problem-solve using information, policy, procedure, compliance, and systems information to identify best fit approach/response to meet customer requirements
Entering personal details of new employees and updating and maintaining all existing records on the organization's Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
Ensure that all files are complete and ready for regulatory inspection
Using on-line systems to access data and answer customer inquiries within service times
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge
Broad understanding of HR policy and end to end HR processes/ procedures
Maintain a working knowledge of relevant issues, laws and regulations pertaining to HR practices to ensure optimal value and full regulatory compliance
Skills
Computer literacy with intermediate PC and administration skills
Keen attention to details
Above average written and verbal communication skills
Ability to review and interpret data
Ability to transfer knowledge and provide training in systems and processes
A good balance of conceptual and analytical thinking and problem solving skills
Strong customer service orientation
Experience
At least 2 years of experience in an HR Service Center handling transactions and workflows Ability to translate policy and process into simple language
Administrative experience within a team environment
At least 2 years experience handling any aspect of compensation and benefits
