Reporting to the Regional Employee Relations Lead based in Hong Kong, you will play a critical role in maintaining the second line of defense by ensuring that HR and ER initiatives, activities, policies, and processes comply with applicable laws and regulations and that we are responding to continual legal and regulatory change. Working within established governance frameworks, you will identify, evaluate, and manage employment legal requirements across 11 jurisdictions in Asia, ensuring that our documentation, policies and practices remain compliant. You will be maintaining and continuing to improve our enhanced processes for documentation, tracking and review of new and revised employment obligations which impact Macquarie in all our jurisdictions and will be coordinating internal change management processes, including the drafting of relevant change approval papers and HR policies and other relevant documentation. Additional responsibilities will include driving Global and Regional ER Compliance projects for Asia and working with Risk Management / Compliance teams alongside the Employee Relations Consultants, in respect of regional employee conduct data analysis and review. To be successful in this role, you will have a tertiary qualification in a relevant field (Law degree or equivalent strongly preferred), you will have a minimum of three years experience of working either within a Human Resources function providing Employee Relations / HR legal advice or an HR Compliance or HR risk management role. The ideal candidate would have experience with multi-country employment and labour laws in Asia. Experience with Workplace Health and Safety legislation and/or with Data Privacy laws would be an advantage. You are organized and you will have attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, a process driven mindset and flexibility in your approach to work, as well as the ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
