The HR Payroll Officer is primarily responsible for the processing of the pay-out of separation pay and other separation benefits of rank and file, supervisors, managers and executives. He/she is also in charge of processing the payment of various claims/remittances from government and private institutions. In relation to this, the HR Payroll officer also ensures that alpha list total tallies with remitted and reported amount to BIR and reported balances to management.
The HR Payroll officer also works with the payroll team in preparing other payroll data and reviews payroll activities including but not limited to deductions and crediting to ensure accuracy. Other tasks would also include processing of on boarding documentation for new Executives. He/she also assists in the formulation, recommendation and interpretation of policies, programs and practices concerning Compensation and Benefits to keep the company up-to-date on current practices & laws, for continuous improvement and to meet the objectives of the company.
When it comes to dealings outside the division, the HR Payroll Officer is also responsible for the following:
• Works with the third party on managing and monitoring the administration of welfare and retirement plans
• Coordinates with the executive payroll service provider for the processing and payment of service fees
• Prepares and submits ad-hoc reports as requested by internal and external customers.
